First Breath

First Breath is a celebration of new life across Greater Manchester. 


Each evening from 1 to 29 January 2023, powerful beams of light will shoot up high above the city skyline and slowly pulse to represent the moment that a baby takes its first gasp of air. This extraordinary installation is curated and designed by world-renowned visual artist Luke Jerram, to connect the ground to the sky in a visual representation of new life.

PUSH Festival returns in the New Year for the annual celebration of North West creative talent. 


Over four weeks, HOME stages, screens and spaces will be dedicated to showcasing fantastic works from around the region, as well as offering opportunities for creatives to meet industry professionals, share ideas and inspiration, and develop their skills.

Winter Beer Festival at GRUB
20 - 22 January 2023

This January, street food venue GRUB welcomes back its annual local and independent beer festival. 


Over the weekend festival, there will be winter brews aplenty with brewery bars from Unbarred Brewery, Rivington Brewing Co, The Runaway Brewery and Squawk Brewing Co plus over 30 guest taps. 


You can also expect a street food market, hot toddies, a mulling bar, tasting events and lots more.
